Welcome to All Things Native & The Native Shop

In the Native Shop you will find a selection of Native American craft related products. Some are in kit form others are finished items, such as the collection of dreamcatchers that have been made by a genuine Iroquois tribal member.

Many of our products come with a written description of their meaning or historical value, such as the medicine bag which is shown below.

Traditionally, a medicine bag is made by the individual wearer or given as a gift to someone special. A medicine bag is very personal because of its meaning and the symbolism of the colours, designs, fetishes and ultimately, its contents.

Medicine bags are frequently worn inside a persons clothing, around the neck, or tucked inside the waistband. However, a fancy one can also be worn in public or during ceremonies. Contemporary uses include holding such contents as healing herbs, medicines, gemstones, fetishes, prayer beads or any article of special significance.
